This original painting of the fountain and ruins at Mission San Juan Capistrano shows the mission on a somewhat cloudy day. This fountain is near the visitors entrance. The mission is located near the ocean and often clouds roll in. The purple bloomed tree has been added just to add color to the painting. It you look closely you will see a little girl and her papa.
