Description
This painting was created with Artist's Acrylic Paints, straight out of the tube. I used several different tubes of red paint and by doing that I could get the clearest, brightest colors. I hope this painting will add a cheerful spot to an interior space. Little cliff swallows fly through the sky close to the cross on the Old Chapel and Bell Wall.
Bougainvillea is an amazing plant. Its flowers a very small and the leaves are really what seems to be the red blooms. I have seen this bush in bloom and it truly is bright red and amazing. It is possibly more red than any artists paint. With sun shining on it it is almost fluorescent.
Through the entry arch to the bell court you can see the simple fountain that is in the bell court. When you are in the court the sound of the water flowing is comforting and on a hot day in California it just feels good to hear the sound of flowing water.
